Loaded Crockpot Pulled Pork Bowls

Ingredients  

  • 2 lb pork butt
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • a few dashes liquid smoke optional
  • bbq sauce for serving
  • cornbread and coleslaw for serving

Pork Butt Seasoning

  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dry mustard

Instructions 

  • Combine all seasonings in a bowl.
  • Pat dry pork butt. Drizzle olive oil on pork. Rub seasoning on all sides.
  • In a pan over medium high, add a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Sear pork butt on both sides then add to crockpot.
  • Add apple cider vinegar and liquid smoke (optional).
  • Cook on high 5-6 hours or low 8-10 hours.
